Jim Van Meer

I shoot people. Landscapes, buildings, and objects too. Things inanimate and mobile, frozen by time or immortalized through the moving frame. I love what I do and would love to capture your story.

I am a 2013 graduate of George Mason University with a B.A. in Film and Video Studies, minors in Art & Visual Technology and Psychology. I’ve shot and desked for a handful of companies, such as Audi of America, Architect Magazine, and The National Portrait Gallery, and have lensed several narrative and documentary films. When not exposing stories to light, I enjoy writing my own, traveling near and far, and taking long talks on the beach.
